Social Edge began as a two-year research programme and became a movement when the evidence would not stay in the papers.
The founding voice
Bright Simons is the founding voice behind the Social Edge Framework — the two-year research programme, grounded in the ODI research context, that became this movement. His writing continues at brightsimons.com.
He appears here as the movement's first member, not its product: the same eleven commitments in the manifesto apply to him as to anyone who signs the pledge.
Governance
The framework and its instruments are released under CC BY-SA 4.0: no franchise fees and no permission needed to start an Edge Circle or teach the instruments. Full governance details — legal structure, funding disclosures, and editorial independence policy — are being finalised and will publish here before launch.
